FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about the savings calculator and how it estimates your potential.

How do I use the savings calculator?

Enter your headcount and average personnel costs, then set sick leave, turnover, short-notice shifts and open holiday days using the sliders. The result on the right updates immediately.

Which values do I need to enter?

Six key figures are enough, namely headcount and average annual personnel costs per staff group as well as sick leave, turnover, short-notice shifts per week and open holiday days per employee. Approximate values are fine.

What does the result show me?

The calculator shows four cost areas, the cost of sick leave, the cost of turnover, the cost of short-notice shifts and holiday provisions, as well as your total savings potential per year.

Does the result update instantly?

Yes. Every change to a slider or input field recalculates the result in real time, with nothing to submit.

How is the savings potential calculated?

Based on your entries and on common assumptions from health and social care, among them around 1,600 net hours and 200 working days per year as well as realistic factors for cover, premiums and turnover costs.

Which assumptions is the calculation based on?

On average values from health and social care and on your entries. The factors are deliberately conservative so the estimate stays realistic and does not come out too high.

What do the four cost items mean?

Sick leave costs stand for the cover needed during absences, turnover costs for replacement and onboarding, short-notice shifts for the premiums paid on spontaneous cover, and holiday provisions for open holiday days.

Are the results binding?

No. It is a non-binding sample calculation for orientation. Actual savings depend on your starting point and may differ. No warranty and no guarantee apply.

Are my entries stored?

No. The calculation runs directly in your browser. No personal data is collected and nothing is stored.

Does the calculator work for any size of organization?

Yes. From a small team to a provider running several facilities. You simply adjust headcount and key figures to your own situation.

How do I get from the estimate to real savings?

The calculator shows the potential, Costvise makes it concrete. In a demo we look at your figures and show how those potentials can be realised.

What does a demo look like?

In a personal appointment we show you Costvise using realistic examples from health and social care and address your own questions. Free and without obligation.
